Montpelier’s own State & Main Records has released their second compilation; and we’re on it!

In Vermont, you can buy the compilation at Buch Spieler, Pure Pop, and Burlington Records, where you can purchase it as a CD or, for $15, get a State & Main t-shirt with an attached download code. How cool is that?

We encourage you to support our small but mighty original music scene here in Montpelier. You’ll also find a track from Ben’s solo venture, Benvelope, and you’ll hear Jay on the Anachronist track, along with lots of other talented Montpelierites.

Thanks to everyone who made 2012 such a great year for us! We’ve just got one show left at Charlie O’s on New Year’s Eve.

NYE is a huge event in Montpelier and I (Jen) really love the disco ball hung at City Hall that lights up the whole town with disco lights.

This year, we’re hosting a Beach and Burlesque Party at Charlie O’s World Famous and will have tons of surprises in store, including more than five new songs for you to get your surfer groove on to. And, of course, our mystery guest burlesque dancers!

Thanks to everyone who bought our album and/or a shirt, every bar that paid us, everyone who paid a cover charge, donated to us, or hosted us for a night or two. You helped make our touring possible and help us bring our art to a nationwide audience. That’s awesome!

State & Main Records has a new compilation coming out with some (no, pretty much all) of our favorite local acts and we’ll have a song on there as well. More info on the comp closer to its release date!

We wanted to mention the Nice Man podcast as well! Zach, one of the two Nice Men, and his girlfriend came to our Champaign, IL show at Mike N’ Molly’s, which was a treat for us; it’s one of Ben’s favorite podcasts and one we listen to frequently on the road. They mentioned us on their Speed Balls episode and played Ben’s voicemail. Thanks guys!
